Re/think boosts Tax capability in UAE

PRESS RELEASE

Re/think boosts Tax capability in UAE

Reflects soaring client demand for support with UAE Corporate Tax implementation

17 July 2025, Dubai, UAE – Re/think Middle East (Re/think), the award-winning UAE business advisory and outsourced services firm, has boosted its Tax capabilities with the appointment of Ms. Amisha Anil as a Tax Director. This comes at a time when companies implementing the new UAE Corporate Tax regulations seek to align their business strategy appropriately, capture opportunities for saving, benefit from tax exemptions, and avoid penalties.

Amisha is a UK-qualified tax professional who has spent the last 11 years with Grant Thornton and EY in the UAE and Oman, supporting multinational and local clients across diverse industries in the GCC on tax advisory, tax compliance, international tax and UAE Corporate Tax matters.

Established in 2017, Re/think’s Tax team, led by Senior Director Keerthi Voodimudi, has grown six-fold from 3 to 18, now including two directors and three managers from international Big 4 firms. The team doubled in size in the past two years alone – launching a specialised Corporate Tax Advisory Team in response to skyrocketing client demand across all UAE jurisdictions (particularly in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and Dubai Financial Centre (DIFC)) for sophisticated, tailored support with implementing the new regulations.

Indeed, with the first Corporate Tax return deadline looming in September 2025, companies are beginning to understand that those who fail to apply for tax reliefs in the first year of registration will be unable to apply for five years – thus losing fiscal benefits and competitive advantage. Accordingly, the team is helping clients every step of the way to ensure a smooth transition for their businesses – from tax strategy, structuring, optimisation and registration to implementation, compliance, filings and training.

Gregory Shippee, Managing Partner of Re/think commented: “We are delighted to welcome Amisha Anil as a Director in Re/think’s Tax team in the UAE. The impressive growth of our Tax team in recent years not only reflects the increased demand by clients looking to implement the UAE’s Corporate Tax regime smoothly and effectively, but also the exceptional quality of the team under the leadership of our Senior Director of Tax, Keerthi Voodimudi.

“We are committed to helping our clients minimize their tax concerns so they can maximise their business potential in the UAE and look forward to partnering with them for their future success.”
