UAE VAT Updates – New Guide on linking TRN with CRN
The UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) recently released a guide on linking the Tax Registration Number (TRN) with the Customs Registration Number (CRN).
WHAT’S NEW?
The guide provides the below two options for linking TRN with CRN.
Option 1
VAT registrants can update CRN in its profile on the FTA’s e-service portal. Multiple CRNs can be provided by selecting the Edit option and adding the details.
Option 2
The second option is to link TRN with CRN through the customs department office. The process would include the following steps:
- Provide TRN to the customs department office
- The customs department officer will verify the TRN on the e-Services portal or the FTA website by using the TRN verification feature.
- On verification of the TRN ownership, the customs department office would then update the TRN on its system.
